1107LD Workshop: Landscape Drawing Made Easy – A Step-by-Step Plan for Success

2 Tuesdays, November 7 & 14

6:30-8:30 pm

Drawing a landscape plan can be a bit daunting for those of us who don’t have the training and time to create one, but knocking out a plan to work from isn’t really that hard. In this two-part class, garden designer Christine Froehlich will demonstrate easy, step-by step-methods that will keep you from being overwhelmed. Part one of the workshop will focus on evaluating your site (soil, style of house, etc.) and creating a preliminary design based on the basic shapes and plants that will be most effective. In the second class you’ll learn to calculate the number of plants you’ll need, the best varieties to choose from, and how to put them all together. By the end, you’ll have a more refined plan and plant list you can work from. Please bring a variety of 8.5 x 11” photographs of a project you want to work on. It doesn’t matter if images are black and white or color, but we’ll be tracing over them, so make sure they are clear – avoid photographs with prominent shadows. If you aren’t able to print your images you can email them to us and we will print them. Limit 15.
