0329LP Landscaping for Butterflies and Other Pollinators

Wednesday, March 29

6:30-8:30 pm

Butterflies, bees and other pollinators need our help. As their natural habitats continue to disappear, we can make appropriate plant choices for our home and public gardens to begin to help offset the loss of wild areas. Instructor Carol Southby is a naturalist and garden designer specializing in native plants for butterfly and wildlife gardens. In this talk she will use close-up images of local butterflies and other pollinating insects to describe how to attract pollinators, the fascinating life cycle of butterflies, and how to choose the best flowers and other food sources for butterfly and pollinator gardens.
